Have this cat examined by a veterinarian.  It is old enough that it needs a thorough exam and its first vaccine series.  Kitten vaccines start at 6-8 weeks of age.  Cataracts are very rare in young kittens.  Conjunctivitis is common but does not lead to a film across the eye--it is more common to have a discharge from the eye with conjunctivitis.  Your veterinarian can tell you if this is related to trauma to the eyelid and cornea.  They will be able to provide appropriate treatment as well.

dear Ann: thank you for your expert advice. I took my cat to the vet. he got his shots and a cream for his eye (terramicine?) the vet said that it was an injury. i have been applying this ointment but I have not noticed any changes. When he sleeps his affected eye remains opened. Some times when he blinks his eye will no close! The vet has seen him twice but has not changed his treatment! I think he will go blind if I don't do anything very soon.

Sometimes my cats get cloudy eyes, I changed the food they were eating and the cloudiness went away. Foods ive noticed to cause this are
Whiskas,  some of the cheaper brands...

Cat chow didnt cause cloudiness but made my one cats fur fall out. When I changed the food to a different kind the fur grew back

Cataract formation is much less common in cats than dogs.  If your cat is having ocular discharge this could be conjunctivitis.  Anterior uveitis (inflammation of the front chamber of the eye) can make the eyes seem cloudy.  Pus can also be present in the anterior chamber.  Cats can also get another disease called eosinophillic keratitis that can make the corneas appear cloudy.
The bottom line is your cat needs to be examined by a veterinarian for diagnosis and treatment.

It needs to be looked at, it could be from a scratch from another cat, or it could be cataracts, or something like that. Hope this helps.

Your cat is either (excuse me) blind, or it is just the stuff that comes out of his eyes. If it is that, then it will probably come out of his eyes. I suggest to clean your cat's eyes often with a soft, damp cloth.
Hope this helps!

P.s. I have a cat of my own and he has films over his eyes. I just clean them, and VUALA!!!

and the hairy spots are spots that are irritated from something your cat has been rubbing against. I suggest going to the vet.

Although painless to the animal it could be signs of  the presence of cataracts. A cataract is a cloudy area in the lens of the eye that blocks the passage of light to the retina.

The clouding over sounds like the formation of catarracts. This happens usually in older animals including humans. It will worsen with time and affect vision but it is not life threatening. But for a cat it could be, especially if it doesn't see the dog or the car coming before its too late. If you can afford it there is a surgical solution. A replacement of the lens. Perhaps  its just an eye infection and a treatment of anti-biotics can clear it up. :)
