Decon has anticoagulants in it, which basically means that it inhibits mechanisms that the body has to prevent bleeding out. The main sign of Decon toxicity is hemorrhage which is spontaneous bleeding. Fecal blood, nose bleeds, ear bleeds, blood in vomit, etc. Are all signs of Decon toxicity. No matter what the amount you think the puppy has eaten, it is CRITICAL that the puppy is taken to a veterinarian IMMEDIATELY, regardless of if it seems sick or not. With Decon, you would rather be safe than sorry as ingestion of it has a high likelihood of being fatal! This is a very serious emergency.
