Do Sea Animals Like Whales, Dolphins And Sharks Sleep?

These animals do sleep, but not sleep as we know it. Sharks especially need to continue swimming to pass water over their gills so they can breathe. All types of sharks, and most types of whales and dolphins sleep with only one hemisphere (half) of their brain at a time. Some birds do this too. This means they rest and restore half of their brain at a time, but still have enough brain power to continue swimming, and react to danger.

Of course they sleep. Or else, how can they get the energy to hunt and hid from stuff? I think they just "half-sleep". I read it in a book, but it didn't say how it slept. I guess that you have to Google it up!

Of course everything has to sleep but when they sleep the have to keep moving or they sink.

Sea animals do sleep. They are like cats and any type of pet, it doesn't seem like they would sleep but they do.

Most fish sleep with their eyes open.dolphines are known to sleep with one eye opened and one eye closed.whales and sharks sleep with their eyes opened.
