Yes, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels do shed. This is a long haired breed, much admired for its beautiful silky coat. Though some amount of shedding is normal, it also depends on the level of care and grooming you provide to your pet. A healthy diet goes a long way toward a beautiful, healthy coat. Daily grooming can go a long way toward removing loose hairs and keep shedding to a minimum. But if you truly need a dog that won't shed, you would be wise to consider other dog breeds.

In normal and healthy condition, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels do not lose hair. But like most other dogs, they have the tendency to lose hair since they are vulnerable to parasites. If they get infected, they may lose hair as it is one of the symptoms. In other condition, the old Cavalier King Charles Spaniels may also lose hair.

If you want to have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniels for a pet, it is advisable to study in detail the process of its care. Moreover, once you get one, take it to a vet and get its full body check up along with necessary vaccination so as to avoid hair loss and other diseases.
