Best time for breeding dogs during heat period is between 12-15 days of heat period which starts with vaginal swelling and bleeding. This bleeding stage can last for 7-10 days. Mating is possible in the second stage when bleeding is ceased or reduced and she show flagging of tail. Dogs should be breed after the age of two years because at this age they are physically mature enough to afford stress of delivery and pregnancy.
