How would this person know what to do with a dead dog if they never had one before. It is a good question so stop calling them a moron, they just lost a pet!

You need to take it to your humane society or a pet cemetery in your area or dig a hole about 8 feet deep and bury it or you can go get it cremated and keep its ashes.

I know it is sad; I feel for you. You need too dog a hole, and place you dog in it. Then sprinkle soil on top, then cover the dog over with a blanket, then start too cover the hole up. Once you have done half if it, say a pray. Then continue to fill the hole. When you are finished, say another pray then leave your dog too rest.

Doing this will offer the soul to God, God will look after your dog for ever more.

Dead animals often pose a problem with burial. There must be some system in your area for disposing off the bodies of animals. Since you have not mentioned which area you live in, it would be difficult to tell you exactly which government institution or a private body deals with this area. You can call them up and they will take the dog's body and then dispose it off through cremation or through burial

Burt it deep in the ground, at least 20 inches. What did it die of? Parvo is highly contagious and will kill another dog if not cleaned well enough. If you cannot bury it try bagging it and putting it in a dumpster that you can dump in. You cannot keep a decomposing corpse around indefinitely.
I'm sorry your dog died.

I am so very sorry for you and your dog, very sorry. I would take him to your local (county?) shelter because they have facilities and safe procedures for this awful event. If you prefer, you could take him on a long drive and deposit him in the woods. Our family did this and it helped the kids. But the shelter will have people to console you. Cindiorose in California

In my local area, you can't really bury a dog because of all the underground construction. My dog just died this morning, he is in my crying mom's hands. We have to use the last resort of cremation. So sad.

Bury it deep in the ground or put it in a bag and throw the bag away. Bless your dog.

Most places it's not legal to put a dead body of anything bigger than a bird in the garbage can.

Oh my god, I can't believe your dog died, that is horrible, I can't imagine ever having a pet that would die on me. :( This ruined my whole day, I can't bear to think that any animal has died, it's just so tragic.
I Don't know what I would do with the dog, for now I would light a candle and put it next to the body, a white candle, it will help prevent evil spirits from taking your lovely puppy's soul away. I would take some pictures, too, because you will never ever see your dog after it's gone. This is horrible, why did it die, did someone kill it? That's horrible. If you don't have a burial plot for your dog then I would find a car with the window open and just put the dog in there, someone will drive away with it and take it to a better place.

Good luck and I'm deeply sorry for your loss.

Did your dog just die from old age or did you let him die from some sickness? If your dog just died the last thing you should do is post it on Blurtit and watch his dead body on the floor while some body replies to your question. Why haven't you called your vet? Are you sure he is dead? Call your local animal care agency and ask them to come remove him from your house. If you don't know what to do when a pet is dead on your kitchen floor, you probably shouldn't of had it in the first place.

you can take your dog to the vet and they will take care of him/her or you can go in your back yard and barry him yourself.sorry for your loss!!!!!!!!!!!!

We might say a prayer for the insensitive guest who ask if the person let/watched their pet die from some illness. They must have a miserable life going by the attitude displayed by their post, or maybe they are just having a bad day. Hopefully they don't have any pets. I guess I'll start my day over on that one! Ha. Have a good day unless you've made other plans.
