It seem that your dog is suffering from Infrequent "Petit mal" or "partial motor seizures" is a not as much severe as epilepsy is because it lasts within a minute or so. All you have to do is change its life style and increase its level of nutrition. Give it home made food, which is rich in quality. There are few medicines, which you can give it. These are: Phenobarbital, Diazepam (Valium), Primidone, and Potassium Bromide. It is better not to use any medicine before taking your pet to vet for a check up.

My dog has just suffered a seizure, its the 1st time it happened. He was fitting for between a minute and minute and a half . He is 5 yrs old  and had a slight cough and has been vomiting slighly on and off for a few days. He has seemed alert and lively up until now . He was hit by cars in an accident 2 yrs ago and fortunately escaped with minor cuts, is that relevant ? Thanx
