Worms eat dirt, see worms don't have eyes so they don't see, they love the dark they are always burrowing and tunneling in the dirt I'm guessing that they drink water, if you have a worm, get a like square container fill it with soft moist dirt and let the worm live in there every day or couple days pour a little bit of water in to hydrate the worm
