Hamsters get their heat cycles after getting sexually mature. Sexual maturity in hamsters is achieved at the age of 4-10 weeks. So, hamsters get their first heat cycle at this age. Hamsters have frequent heat cycle and short duration of pregnancy. They can come in to heat very soon after delivery of the babies. Breeding age of female hamster is 6-10 weeks.
