This is totally wrong concept among many owners that a warm nose and tongue in dogs is indication of illness. People also think that a cold nose indicates health of dogs. This is also wrong. Both tongue and nose conditions don't tell health condition.

You should look for general signs of illness in dogs. These signs can be

1. Loss of appetite
2. Weight loss
3. Vomiting
4. Diarrhea
5. Blood in urine
6. Lethargy
7. Breathing problems
8. Coughing
9. Weakness
10. Disorientation
11. Walking difficulties

If your dog is free form these signs regardless of nose and tongue conditions then no need to worry. Otherwise take him to vet.
