The slight hump like curvature of their wings makes the air pressure
above the wing lower than the bottom side allowing for life. Once in
the air the tail acts as a rudder for steering. You can test how low
pressure affects lift by holding a piece of paper long ways under your
lips and blowing. The paper will lift up and it's using the same
principle that the hawks wings use to fly.
