What Is Twisted Gut In Dogs?

Twisted stomach in dogs is a life threatening condition called canine bloat. This is cause by filling of gases in the stomach after eating. These gases put pressure on surrounding organs and veins, so, stomach can be twisted. Symptoms of bloat in dogs are

1. Restlessness
2. Pacing
3. Drooling
4. Unproductive vomiting or foamy vomiting

Blood test is usually ordered to diagnose bloat in dogs after taking medical history. So, you should take your dog to vet for diagnosis and treatment.

There's a name for it, but I cannot remember. Animal vets on animal planet can explain it more for you, but it is an extremely serious condition that needs to be treated immediately, or the dog will die.
