If it's that serious I hope you have taken or will take your dog to the vet. I know if I was in that much pain I wouldn't want to just be left to die. If you can't afford it, the vet can probably give you a discount. Also, they can let you pay off your bill in very small payments. If you don't take it, you could feel guilty for the rest of your life. Maybe it's not even as serious as you think.
From what I read if it is the final stages of kidney failure the dog will stop eating and drinking, lose control of bodily functions, sleep a lot, become distant. It's good to keep him/her warm and speak gently to them. Try to comfort him/her if they let you. Keep it clean and try to squirt water in it's mouth or let it lick some baby food off a spoon if you can . Towards the very end it will become difficult for them to breathe and then they'll die (hopefully in their sleep).
Please take him/her to the vet if you haven't already, though. This makes me want to cry just thinking about a dog not getting the help it needs.
