What Are The Final Stages Of Renal Disease In Dogs?

I know the final stages because unfortunately we went through it with our precious 8 year old dog 4 days ago.  She was diagnosed last September, and by the time they discovered it her BUN and creatinine levels were already moderate to high.  Last week she took a turn for the worse and stopped eating completely.  She had some vomiting and lots of diarrhea despite the fact that she had hardly eaten anything in days.  In the end, her blood pressure escalated and we think she went blind because she was startling easily and bumping in to things.  She couldn't even walk to go outside to go to the bathroom.  Finally she started having seizures and we ultimately had to put her down... The hardest thing we have ever had to do.  All of these final stages occurred within a 36 hour period, and she was gone.  We hated to see her suffer in the end but knew without question that it was her time.  Her BUN and Creatinine levels were up to 116 and 12 respectively in the end... VERY high.  I hope this helps.
