Adult millipedes usually live on nectar and are very fond of white and light coloured fragrant flowers. The adolescents are fond of the roots of plants and do enormous damage to your garden,grass,etc. They are not picky and they hatch in the hundreds. No truth to the rumour the they will burrow into your ear and eat a hole in your brain, the adults may go there at night but it's because they like small places. The horns at their hind end are their defence against ants and if they clip it really does hurt a lot!
