Rabbits are induced ovulators, that is, ovulation is induced by the act of copulation.  This means rabbits do not have a normal oestrus cycle and do not come into “heat”.  She will accept males about 12 out of every 14 days.  Her vent area will be a dark pink when she is ready to mate.  The gestation period, or pregnancy length of the rabbit is 28-32 days.

Rabbits have no heat periods because they can ovulate after breeding. That is why breeding is possible any time of the year. But there are some days when she is more likely to accept males for breeding. She can show signs like restlessness and chin rubbing on feeder. Male rabbits are always ready for breeding.

Rabbits need bonding first with each other like humans. If bonding is successful then they start circling each other. Nipping may also takes place. After this mating is possible. If she becomes pregnant then she can take 30-32 days to deliver babies after breeding

Hi, My pure bred rex rabbit when she is ready circles round me and then when I stroke her she rolls over and shows me her belly... Also when I stroke round her bottom she raises her tail and presents herself to me..this is when I know that she is ready to see the buck. I often give her a couple of days with the buck to ensure he has brought her into season and had enough time to do it properly!

Rabbits don't  have a heat cycle. Put the female in with the buck and if they are old enough to breed mating will take place right away.with a successful  mate the buck will fall over backward or to the side.if mating does not happen you can put the doe back in will the buck the next day.and she should mate. Rabbit breeder for 12 years.
