They tend to eat grass a lot and hay mainly. But in winter for a treat carrots and apple is good for their healthy diet
Most of their diet should be light since they gain weight so easily. I would feed mostly Timothy&grass hay during the winter and maybe some oats now and then. They thrive on hay during the winter and are prone to foundering in the Spring when they get too much early grass!
