First of all - don't call her onto your bed or other furniture if she's on the furniture she will think she owns it, if you are on it also - like your bed - she'll think she owns you too. This sounds like mild dominance and you just have time to stop if if you get on it right now. You have to show her you are in control, this means you own everything, including her toys and food, and you only share on your terms. She sits before she is fed, and she finishes her food in 15 minutes then the bowl is gone. She plays with her toys with you and then they go away. She is only allowed to be where you can see her until she is bulletproof on housebreaking and destructive behaviour. She NEVER growls, jumps up, or bites anyone ever. If she does she gets a strong NO and then straight to her crate for an hour or so - don't let her out until she's quiet. It will take a long time because you got off on the wrong foot, but in the end you should have a good, safe dog.
My 6 Month Old Puppy (german Shep/husky/lab/retriever Mix) Seems To Be Aggressive. I Called Her Onto My Bed The Other Day While I Had Friends Over, And My Friend Sat Down Beside Her. My Dog Growled And Nipped Her. Could Someone Explain The Behaviour?
It's a puppy! Your puppy probably likes it when people come in. Your puppy is probably curious by what it is. By it I mean your friend. Puppies like to bite so that explains the biting. The aggression is probably from the biting because it probably wants rip it apart! I'm kidding by that! Most puppies are aggressive so it needs to be dealt with. When your puppy is aggressive or biting just say no in a loud firm voice.
