mango apple grapes pears plums blueberries
a whole wheat cracker like a triscut or wheat thin the better quality ones
a small piece of hard boiled egg
a small piece of cheese
hamster yogurt drops (walmart, make sure it is the one for hamsters)
raw unsalted sunflower seeds pumpkin seeds and almonds
Do not give them oranges pineapple avocado (avocado is very toxic for small animals) banana walnuts peanuts
Make sure your hands are always washed before you handle your hamster. They are very near sighted and will chomp down on anything that smells like food.
If you get bit and he/she draws blood, get a tetnus shot right away , if you have not had one in the last 10 years.
