Hi my dog had discharge about two days before giving birth when she starts panting hard thats when shes in labour ours lasted for 16 hours then she gave birth to her first pup she was only 57 days had seven pups in all and mum an pups are well and healthy try not to worry there can be too much negativity if you do get concerned you know that the vet is always on the end of the line day or night just keep the number close, also make sure mum is on puppy food for extra calories good luck.

Hi again mum and 7 babies are doing great, just wanted to add our dog wouldn,t touch puppy food when she was pregnant but she,ll happily eat it now, so im supplimenting her with calcium tablets so she doesn,t get a condition called milk fever which is potentially fatal to both her and pups , they cost about £5.80 for 180 tablets well worth it,so if she wont eat puppy food i would suggest you get some, hope this too is helpful let me know how she gets on, all the best karan.

Normal gestation is around 68 days. Almost 9 weeks. Unless a vet has given you a definate date, she may be. Call your vet as as soon as possible. Yellowish / thick, runny discharge is the first indication of on comming birth.

Why would I go to the vet when it's "Normal" for her to do this, and it's a stage of pregnancy ?? I would be concerned if it were bloody, black or green, not yellowish.
