Ive always used baby shampoo on my puppies..its gentle and doesn't dry the skin out. Ive used my shampoo on my dogs lots of times and it doesn't hurt them. Just remember, it wont kill fleas. If your dog has fleas you will need a dog shampoo formulated for that, if you're shampooing to get them clean, then people shampoo is ok. My dogs can get into a lot of dirt, so they get baths quite often. If you bathe your dog more than twice a month, then keep a look out for signs of dry skin; itching, red spots.. Flakey skin.. As long as the skin stays healthy then people shampoo is ok to use.

I don't think it is the best, but since it sounds like you only used it once your twice it isn't bad. As maeve said it can dry out there skin and I don't think it is good if you want to keep that coat soft and pretty!

I apply human shampoo to my dogs from the very beginning and they are very much okay with it. I don't think it is any harm to them as I have did it myself. You can do it as well.

Dogs are smelly  they need whatever shampoo that you can find. I use frog shampoo on my kitties sometimes and they die a lot.
