I think the life span of your guinea pig is almost up ,its sad yes but its up to you how long you let it suffer,I wouldn't let it suffer.

You should go to www.wikipedia.org, and read there. What I read was this, that they live about 4 to 5 years, and some of them can live to the age of 8.
