Sorry, this is outside my realm of comfort… you've got a very sick pup on your hands, I think he should probably go back to the vet for another look.
You can try giving him Benadryl* to maybe give him some relief until you can get him in, but this seems like more to me then a simple case of allergies to me.
*Benadryl dosage – 1-2mg per lb. Every 8 hours (60-lb. Dog, 2-4 25mg tablets every 8 hrs.)
