Can A Dog Get The Stomach Flu?

Hi when you have a sick puppy you should always look at all the options,
Yes dogs can have flu like symptoms, not the same strain as people, but very flu like.  There are several other types of illnesses that it could be, some of them very persistant.  Has the puppy had all of its shots?  Parvo, distemper, adeno-virus, parainfluenze, type 1 & II, lepto and caronavirus?
What about bordetello?  Have any eating probolems? Could it be just an upset stomach?  is the puppy running a temp?  Drinking at all?  Watch for dehydration.  If any other symptoms show up, go to  a vet.

Has puppy had the parvo vaccine? These symptoms sound similar to those of parvo. I would take your puppy to the vet and have him checked out ASAP.
