Can a pomeranian 8 weeks pregnant not show puppies on x-ray? And still have a puppies?
There's no set amount of weight that your dog will gain during pregnancy. If you dog is skinny, she will gain more than if she is already a little overweight. Just make sure she does not get fat during pregnancy as that is not healthy for her, and over the course of her pregnancy monitor her feeding.
At week five, increase her feed by 25% and do the same at week six and seven. By the eighth week, she will be eating almost double her normal diet. This will give her enough energy to live a normal life, and make sure the puppies grow at a good rate.

My dog (a 6 pound Pom) is up about 60% on her body weight and due to deliver in 3 days. She is naturally slender to begin with though.
