My Hamster Has A Big Red Bump On Its Side, What Does That Mean Exactly?

Yeah, my hamster has that too. At first it was just a little bump.But then it gradually started getting bigger.I took her to the vets and he said that it is a tumour. He just said be careful were you put her and make sure that the tumour doesnt pop because it will just be sudden death.My hamster has had it for about 7 months now and is just acting herself.I rang the vet(also my mums Friend) And he just said that if she is still alive and acting normally, she should be fine. Don't worry it happens in a lot of hamsters, especially if they are old.

I don't think that would be pregnancy, you can hold the hamster, and feel for little movements to see, but I think it is something else, and you should have it checked out. Hope this helps, good luck.

My hamster has a huge lump its side, the top part is covered with fur , but the bottom looks red and a bit scabby.

Can any one tell me whats wrong with it?

Mine has one to and so does my dog if its red it doesnt mean anything but if its looks infected
I would go to the vet I hope she or he is  ok but it probably doesnt mean anything

Perhaps it was stung by something. I would suggest cleaning it's cage and throwing out all it's food. Try a new diet and hope for the best.
