Female dogs can come in to heat after 4 months of delivery of puppies. Dogs can have 2 heat cycle in a year which are usually 6 months apart. If they become pregnant then their heat cycle is not disturbed and occurs on schedule time. So, gap between 2 heat cycle in dogs is 6 months regardless of pregnancy.
