Who ever just commented is possibly retarded help her don't put her down
and give her info that has nothing to do with her question
you can tell if your snake is pregnant if she is lying in a inverted possition with its body upside down facing its belly towards the light trying to get heat
to its eggs also they may refuse food, they will have a pre shed slough
depending on species they will shed a certain amount of time before
laying average time is about 25 days and also their may be thickening
in lower third of body if unsure get checked at vet :)

I was just saying that snakes dont get pregnant and if they wanted to know if it was going to reproduce she should look for eggs... I just don't like it when people ask questions that can't be answered because it is an impossibility

Our snake just laid her eggs.  She was bulging near her colon and liked to soak in warm water.  We did take her to a vet, not knowing if she was pregnant or constipated, and the vet said she was constipated.  He, therefore, stuck her w/ 4 enemas over 4 weeks and gave her antibiotics.  Then the poor thing had her eggs.  So beware and make sure the vet really does know about reptiles.  Here are some clues I've seen:  She shed right before laying them and was trying to dig a hole under the water dish.

Snakes do get pregnant (gravid), that's how they reproduce.  Many boas and pythons actually do give live birth but most lay eggs.  You can tell if she's pregnant if she refuses food and becomes thicker.  But I'd go get hr checked at the vet if you're not used to this sort of thing.  I'm breeding my pythons at the moment and crossing my fingers that she's gravid

You really shouldnt have to ask that question because snakes lay eggs, the do not give live birth. It would not have lain an egg anyway unless it was definitely female and there was a male to pollinate the egg.
