Absolutely and you should do it NOW. My dog was suffering from dehydration and it was during the weekend, so I knowing that dogs and humans take the same kind of medications I gave my dog pedialyte. When she saw the vet on Monday, the vet said that is what saved her life. Even if you have to force it down their throat, do it, it will make a positive difference

You can give your puppy 20 g pedialyte a time.

It depends on many things. You would have to ask your vet about amount and frequency for your particular puppy and the situation, we have no idea why they told you to give that or anything about your pup and would be difficult for us to get the necessary informaiton. Be sure they have gone over everything thoroughly so you don't aspirate your pup or anything like that and cause further problems. Just give them a call and double check if you have questions or concerns.   Hope your baby is feeling better soon.

Do not feed puppy Pedialyte! They need PMR(puppy milk replacer). Depends on size of puppy but directions by size and age are on the can- ez to follow. We found a medicine dropper works best for our puppy. Good luck!

I wouldn't do it, there are sites that you can go to for veterinary care, and ask the vets a question. I don't know if there's a fee involved with asking and getting the information though.

Try netvet.com for one of the sites. The other one that I can think of off the top of my head is petvet.com, I think the first one that I mentioned is the better of the two.

Another site that you could check out is drlarrypetvet.com, this site asks for $5.95 per question. Or you can try purinaone.com, the site says it's free. I really encourage you to talk to someone about it.

Or you can call another local vet and talk to the assistant or maybe even the vet himself, if you explain enough to them about what you're dealing with. Hope this helps, good luck.
