If A Huskey Puppy Breaths Fast Is That Normal?

It's nice to see such a concerned new parent. Kudos to you. It's not out of the ordinary for a husky to breath fast, it's from one of two things, it's either tired from playing, or it's overheating.

Depending on where you are living, say like Calif, or Fla. the breed isn't aclimated for those temperatures. You can consider having the puppy shaved, but it is a young one, and might be scared of the shaver.

They are bred for the climate, colder temperatures, and also for work. A Husky loves to haul, pull, and work for praise. That's why you see so many of them in the annual Iditarod race from Anchorage to Nome, in late February or early March.

Try not to worry too much about the panting, if it persists for a very long time then you should take her in. I wish you the best with her, they are loyal and pretty patient if you raise them with kids, not away from them. Good luck.

Sorry, but five weeks old is far too young for this pup to have been separated from mum and litter mates, especially a husky, which is a slow maturing breed. Any chance of returning her to the breeder and her dog family for another 3 weeks?

I used to breed huskies (for 20 years) and never let one go before 2 months old.
