Depending on the Variety of the Cockactoo, they can live up to 80 years or even longer according to lifestyle (well looked after) and diet (lose the sunflower seeds). Although I had one that was a rescue Cockatoo and she died at 9 years (which was very sad considering the actual possible lifespan). As a parrot owner for nearly 35 years, I have seen a variety of ages of various different parrots. In short lifespan does vary.
