They might have a pionted nose like the pointer or a nose like a lab. You can look up both breeds on the internet and see which one yours looks like the most. Either way it should be a good dog. They are both great dogs and if you hunt the dog will be good at that and swimming.
Mine looks like a rangy, long-legged chocolate Lab, no weight issues, with a longer nose than most Labradors and a couple of white spots. His hair grows so sparsely on his underside he's almost naked in spots, but on top its dense and water-tight as a Lab's. He's very handsome (at least that's what nearly everyone who sees him says) and an absolute gentleman. Wonderful bone structure, very healthy and athletic, tireless on the trail, with a beautiful smile. Best "pound puppy" EVER!
Mine in slender and long legged like a pointer, but has the solid gold white underbelly of a yellow lab.
A lab/pointer mix most likely will have a few spots, I mean like my aunt and uncle have one had he has a lot of spots, his spots are black but his coat is white first time I saw him I thought he was a Dalmatian mix or something like that, other than that they are wonderful dogs to have.
