I have a similar med species of tortoise. After mating she took about 4 weeks before she laid her eggs. She has laid in as little as 2.5 weeks before a few years ago. If suitable nesting sites are not made available, they can retain their eggs which can be harmful. Ensure you have some good nesting sites in a few places for choice.

I can always tell when my tortoises are ready to lay eggs, they go off their food and pace around, basically restless, with lots of scratching and smelling the earth, looking for a suitable site. One tortoise dug four nests before she was happy with the last one and laid her clutch.

Mine took about 2 months but sometimes females will not lay the fertilized eggs for more than a year if the conditions not right.
