King Cobras build their nests like birds but on the ground. They build nests for their nests when they hatch. The King Cobra's home is the Southeast Asian rainforest. Its habitat are the clearings, bamboo stands, and edges of the forest and it is also found near rivers and swampy areas. The climate that the King Cobra lives in is usually rainy and humid type of usually.

The King Cobra is a carnivore that eats mainly other snakes, but will eat lizards, some frogs, and sometimes small mammals. They feed on thease types if things theie whole life. But even though they eat a lot of things they are still top of the food chain. Their Preditors are the mongoose or man. A mongoose can kill a cobra at anytime. But they have to be quick and quite!

Baby Cobras are called hatchlings. When a hatchling is first born it has full strength. It can live on its own and defend itself as a young.  Hatchlings also weigh a few ounces at birth. But when hatchlings are full grown they can weigh up to 35 pounds. The full grown King Cobra can grow up to 12-18 feet. Adults weigh 12-20 pounds. Their fangs can grow a 1/2 inch.

When its time the Cobra can lay up to 20 to 40 eggs at a time. In the wild a King Cobra can live for about 20 years or more. When a King Cobra bites it has poisions venom in their bite and can kill in a minum of 3 seconds. But some of the time the cobra may have a "dry bite" when no venom comes out of the fangs. King Cobras hold thier posions venom in thier sacks.
