After having rottweilers, shown and bred them - I can go from the experience I had with my female.

She would begin to pace the house and look unsettled. She would go off into another room of the house (luckily it was our mud room), where we had her whelping box set up with old carpet tiles and newspapers inside. She would dig at the papers, shred them and make her 'nest'. Her temperature dropped (usually the biggest sign) from 101 to 98, with lots of panting. About 10-24 hours after that, she would go into active labor.

Hope everything works out for you and for her!
