I'm looking for a new dog. It needs to be small to medium sized, doesn't need to go to the groomers, is good with dogs and children 3+ and can be alone in the house for at least four hours. I know it's really picky but anyone got any suggestions???

My family has a Yorkie! He is bigger than most, though. He is about eight pounds. A great family dog, we have a 9, and 11 year old, and me! Great with my sisters!!! And also good with my 4 year old cousin. He does need to be groomed depending on how long you would want his hair. Besides that barks a lot and is very protective which is good and bad with children. I personally think that you and your family would love one!  : )
