My favorite pet is a dog. More specific is an English Mastiff. They are very affectionate, easy to handle and deal with. Not a guard dog normally by any means, but just to look at them are enough to deter any type of inappropriate activity...lol! They are just wonderful dogs in everyway...love children, tolerant of all other animals. In my opinion, and from my own observations, it seems to me that the larger breed animals - dogs, horses, etc. Are much more tolerant and have very nice personalities with people and other animals. They sometimes are not aware of their size so around kids you do have to watch their tails...lol.
I like horses especially the appaloosa because they are very pretty and very stable mannered also i love my 2 dogs which are a Dalmation and a Rottweiler because they were both very easy to house train them and they are very good at agility classes.
Probably the cat or maybe a type of reptile but I coulden't choose what kind of reptile coz i love them all oh by the way dose any one here know what size tank you need for 5 baby beardies (beared dragons)?
I like and have kept at different times many types of pets. I kept ferrets for years and loved them. I've had monitor lizards, various other kinds of lizards and even a skunk once. I now have a parrot that's over 30 years old, a snapping turtle and over 30 snakes. I've been keeping snakes for over 35 years and I love them. Most of the ones I have now I've raised from eggs. I had had different kinds over the years but finally settled on rat snakes. Some are normal, most are fancy colors. I know they have personalities. Some are more timid or agressive than others. Some are gregarious and come out to see me when I talk to them. (I know they can't hear but it's hard to have an animal and not talk to them.) I enoy watching them and how they move. I like the fact that they don't have legs, they don't bark or make noise and don't need to be walked. They are beautiful to look at and handle. I guess I'm running on a bit here so I'll just end with my vote for snakes.
I love pets :) My favourites Are horses and Dogs, cause the bonds are so strong. I have a horse, which is half Appaloosa, half palomino, so she is a stunner, and i love doing activities like showjumping, because the adrenaline rush is amazing, and i Have a boxer dog, who is my best friend, he never leaves my side and he is protective, so i always take him on night walks now. I would love a snake, but i got put-of when my friend said to me he got a new snake and it bit him. Are they usually like this? Or are they easy to look after?
