Call your Vet. Get the horse on its feet and WALK WALK WALK. Sometimes colic can be walked out but you need a vet anyway. If you let the horse roll it will rupture its intestines and Die! Keep a Banamine shot in a small fridge in the tack room. It could save a horses life.

NO WAY! If your horse is colicking you should call the vet asap! When my horse colicked we walked him a LOT and then the vet said he could lay down, but don't let him roll. We put a few haybales on one side of him and had him on a hill so that he couldn't roll, and that was good.

He suffered Heat Stress and Colic and died of a heart attack.

As Ann said, call the vet!!! While you're waiting for the vet keep the horse moving, walk him round and round in large circles. Don't let him stay lying down or this could worsen the situation. Hope he pulls through!

If your horse has colic you must keep it on its feet and moving. If you let it roll his intestines may knot up and you may lose him. Get a Vet ASAP.

No, the reason is because rolling will twist there bowl and then they can't pass food or water eventually killing them. You should try to walk the horse.

If your horse is colicking you need to contact your veterinarian immediately.  Colic varies dramatically in cause and severity but can be fatal.
If you try to prevent your horse from rolling, be very careful that you are not injured.

NO never let a horse with colic roll as its intestines could knot up and twist.
Call the vet immediately and if you can give it some liquid parafin until the vet arrives as this will soothe the pain in his belly.

You should contact a vet now! My horse just died last week because we didn't know she was colicing and we did't have enough time so she had to be put down because she was suffering.

Hope your horse is alright,

No, don't let it roll, it could twist up it's intestines. Call the vet. In most cases, it's best to get it up and walk it around slowly, up a hill works almost every time! Once your horse poops, he'll feel better right away, and for some reason, going up a hill makes colicking horses poop. If you have Banamine on hand give it to him. It's always a good idea to have it at the barn, but it may be hard to get since it's a prescription drug. Try to get it if you can, it could save your horse! Hope this helps!

NO! What ever you do, don't let him roll! Call the vet immediately and keep the horse on his feet and walking.  Rolling twists up their intestines and this could mean having a pricy surgery done to get them untangled!!!  NO!
