The diet of these species are commonly very light. These birds are omnivorous which basically means that they can eat anything they want and that be eating both animal flesh and plants as well. They also eat plant parts which includes flower petals, seed heads, insects and other arthropods, reptiles which means a number of invertebrate animals of the phylum arthropod and that includes insects and etc. Generally speaking, these birds in common interaction with the other species members of the Galliformers and they are an order of birds which mainly includes turkey, grouse, chickens, quails and pheasants. And about 256 of these species are available or found all over the world.

The male of the peafowl have thorns or you can say they contain bones in their metatarsal spurs which they use generally during fights with similar gender of the same species. Speaking of their diets, they can and are able to eat anything and that includes animal flesh, plants, grass and even plant parts. These birds as from their physical appearance, they are medium looking birds as far as sizes are concerned, therefore they prefer eating things they can preserve, and such things include plants and animals as well.
