The skunk is a friendly creature and makes a good pet. That makes him so unpopular of course, is that smell of his. The skunk has very powerful scent glands which contain a bad-smelling fluid. The Creature can send this fluid out with great accuracy. But the skunk makes his bad scent as a powerful weapon.

The two glands of the bad smelling fluid are under the tail. A skunk aims at its enemy and shoots the liquid out in a spray. The spray can travel 2.7 meters or more. The skunk may decide to send out spray from one gland or the other or both and each gland holds enough for five or six shoots.

The spray is so strong that it has a suffocating effect, which means it makes it hard to breathe when someone nears it. If the spray gets into the eye, it can cause of temporary blindness. But the skunk does not strike or spray without warning.
