Bats send out a signal from the moth or nose.If it hits an object and the sound bounces back and the bat can tell where it is to not fly into it;it can tell the texture and size of the object.some bats have big eyes;nose;and mouths to improve their senses
Bats send out high pitched sounds and wait for them to return as an echo. Doing this the bat can know the speed the object is moving, what it is and more! This is called echolocation. Some bats don't use echolocation some have large eyes, ears or noses to improve a different sense.
