Dog is off balance, keeps falling like drunk. Was fine and then within 15 minutes this started. Does anyone has any experience with this?

Your dog may have a severe ear infection, or at worst suffered a stroke.  Please take your dog to a vet .

I took him to the vet, and they believe he had a mini-stroke, a blood clot is causing this vertigo. It's dizziness. They gave him some fluids to prevent dehydration, and told me to give him Dramamine for dizziness. She said it may take a little while for the clot to dissolve but that it will dissolve on it's own. I could have had an MRI done, and a whole lot of other tests, but have limited resources. So this is what we are doing. Thanks for the help.

I'm so glad you got him seen to . Just follow the vets advice and let your dog have plenty of rest, he should recover with a little time .

There can be other reasons (neurological, poisoning, vertigo ect.) but it is very often a sign there is a spinal or disc problem and your pups nerves are being compressed. It can happen from one second to the next and in the blink of an eye.
You need to put your pup in their kennel and restrict activity until you get the vet. You don't want it to get worse and have your pup paralysed and more difficult and go from a possibility of being able to do a long period of appropriate medication and very strict kennel rest as treatment to needing a specialized surgery because of nerve damage if you can avoid it. Any time you see that you need to restrict activity and see the vet asap to have the best chance of limiting the possible damage. Hope your baby is feeling better soon.
