Technically yes it can. Dogs and most other animals have a Eustachian
tube that connects ear to throat. Inner ear infections can cause nasal
Secretion so one could assume smoke absorbed in the ear simultaneously
combined with the dog inhaling could get THC from the smoke absorbed by
the dog's lungs.

My daughter who has a dog came by and lit one up on the back porch, after she took a hit she blew it in her dog's ear. I asked her what she was doing and she replied that it was how dogs get high. Something about their glands. I don't know, it's not something you can find out very easy. But thanks for you comment.
