I am giving you signs of heat with sequence in canine. Compare these signs with your dog. I have not read any thing about teeth in heat cycle. The signs are

• Swelling of vulva (one week before bleeding)
  
• Behavioral changes
• After this bleeding will start
• At the time of ovulation, you can feel a smell. This smell can be felt by males from miles.
• Changes in discharge color from red to yellow
• Flagging or ready to accept males by standing in front of male.

I advise you not to breed your dog in the first heat cycle and wait up to her age of 1-2 years.
