What Does It Mean When A Butterfly Lands On You And Stays On You For A Long Time?

I got saved today at church,  my family and I went to the park after..a butterfly landed on my finger and stayed there for a good 5 to 10 minutes..I think it was my sign from the lord that I am now at peace and he is with me always.  :)

It happened a few minutes ago with me. I am in my backyard listening to collective soul! It stayed there for a long time to! My mom said it's a sign of good luck.

For the past two weeks there has been a butterfly following me I live across the street form my mom and one day we were in the kitchen and this same butterfly that was in my backyard with me was surrounding me the color of it was black, orange,  blue (which is my favorite color) and white stripes.  The next day it showed up in my backyard again while I was standing there with my boyfriend.  Two days later I was driving and was at the stop light and this huge butterfly flew right in front of my car with the same colors and landed on this bush.  Today(5/23/10) I was again across the street with my bro, sis, sis in law & boyfriend and the same exact butterfly landed in the kitchen.  We began to take photos of it until finally it flew away but guess where it landed on ME!!!! When this first began to happen I asked a gifted friend and she said it means that it surrounds people who can be recently in LOVE or just feels the love.

My fiance has a more than one butterfly land on him, it seems like everywhere we go, he has a butterfly attatched to him. It started when we were at his family reunion, one landed on his hat, and stayed there the whole time, he got up moved around, and still the butterfly stayed. We went camping about a month later, and another one landed on him while we were fishing, he carried it all the way back to the campsite from the lake. And just last night while he was bbq one landed on him, he had to come inside to show me and it was still there when he went back outside. I don't know what it means, I have heard that it is good luck. I do like the idea that it is attracted to love though, kinda makes me feel good to know he has that much love radiating off of him :)

Hey I had a butterfly landed on my shoulder where my tattoo is.... And the tattoo was in lovly memory nana.... She past away a month ago n that butterfly stay there right near the tattoo n I was walkn n the butterfly was still there n wen my mom was going to take a picture that butterfly flew away..... So I really believe that was my nana tellin me that she is there.... I have goosebumbs right now by tellin this n I'm actually cryin out of no where right now..... So I know its got to be my guardian angel....

I asked the same question when I was visiting the Butterfly House on Mackinac Island Michigan, All it means is the butterfly was tired and needed a place to rest. There are a lot of myths surrounding the butterfly, Most being connected to the symbolism of the butterfly representing the soul of a dead person.

That's strange because, my gmaw died in march and  I had an encounter with a butterfly and I told everyone that it was my grandmother..  :)
Also, the butterfly I wrote about previous would not leave me alone and I tried to give it to my mom on her hand and it got mad..lol

I just had on land on me today! It stayed there on my hand for over 30 min! I could even tranfer it from myself to my daughter! It was one of the strangest things I've ever seen! She stayed outside holding it. Then she transfered it on to a plant we bought my dad for fathers day. I guess it didn't want to be there because it fallowed her into the house! 06/04/2010 Erin

Hey! I had a hurt bby butterfly land on my work papers. & there is NO WAY a butterfly can just end up flying around the building. I took it outside and placed it near some grass flowers and stuff (putting it back into nature's hands) hoping that will save it. Anyways 4days later another butterfly that looked exactly like the bby one that was hurt  came and landed on my papers again. It was the same exact age same paderns and everything. NO HURT ANYMORE. Once it flew off it left a powder paderns that looked like a heart!!! I asked my co-workers "what does that smuge look like to you" & all of them said "a heart why"  I didnt tell them what happened I kept it to myself what do you think all thats about?

This happened to me today at the fair and also last summer, the butterfly was orange and black and had a blue circle at the top of its wings. It landed on me and my husband took some pictures. I didn't want to shu him because I heard it was bad luck. It stayed on me for about 20 min. It had a long tongue and it looked like it was licking me. Then it landed on my husband then back to me, then we went into the butterfly garden room and when he flew off me I snuck out, it landed on someone that was behind me. The wildlife person said it could be my phrenomes, I hope because to think it could be someone's soul is scarey.

I don't know what it means but a monarch landed on my hand and stayed there for a good minute,it was crazy.
