How Many Kiwi Birds Are Left In The World?

Approximately 35,000 to 50,000 left in the world (predominantly New Zealand). Sadly they are on the decline in numbers and efforts are being made to try and save the kiwi from extinction.
(80 years ago, there was an estimated 5 million kiwis.)
