How Many Kind Of Birds Are There In The World?
Kinds of birds are these:-
A- Water birds: The gulls and terns are long winged water bird with hooked, sharp, pointed beak and webbed toes. They live mostly on fishes. Albatross is the largest sea bird and pelican is a large fish eating sea bird.
B- Diving birds: These are penguins, auks, loons and grebes etc, which have short wings.
C- Swimming birds: In these kinds of birds including ducks, teals, geese and swans which have flattened beaks. Flamingo is a bird of duck family.
D- Shore birds: These are plovers, stilts, sand pipers, snipes, avocets etc. They have long slender legs and elongated beak.
E- Scratching birds: Include partridges, turkeys, quails, pheasants. Grouse etc, whose beaks are adapted for crushing's.
F- Birds of prey: Include eagles, hawks, owls, vultures, falcons, kites etc. They have powerful clawed feet and strong hooked beak. Condor, a variety of culture, is one of the largest and heaviest flying birds found in South America.
G- Climbing birds: These are comprised of flickers and wood –peckers. They dig into the wood to pick insects by pointed and strong beak.
H- Perching birds or Songsters: Include black bird, swallows, sparrows, parrots, warblers, crows etc.
I- Garden birds and wading birds are also in the kinds of birds. Like bulbuls, herons, sun birds, robin etc.
