What does a Husky look like?
There is only one pure breed of Husky - that is the Siberian Husky, but there is the mixed breed dog - Alaskan Husky - they often have Siberian Husky in their blood but they are usually cross bred to enhance desirable characteristics such as speed. Both Siberian and Alaskan husky can have the blue eyes you may see in the movies however this is only around 20%, another 20% have mixed colour eyes, and the rest simply brown.

Distinct Differences Between Siberian and Alaskan Huskies
Siberian Huskies tend to have thicker fur than Alaskan Huskies as Alaskan Huskies have been bred for racing, Siberian Huskies can therefore withstand the cold for longer so they are ideal for longer safari's where they may need to sleep outside. Alaskans are generally skinnier and faster, sometimes bred with hounds or gun-dogs for speed racing events.
