No I don't think it's anything to worry about. I just had my puppy in the vet for her check-up and he was telling me that the dogs can have severe allergies just like us. I would just keep an eye on it and see if there's any change. If your worried call the vet and see what they say. Hope I could help a little. Good luck.

This sort of diseases is called conjunctivitis, in it your dog eye may get pinkish and you may see some eye discharge/irritation. As a home treatment for mild eye irritation you can go for Neosporin or Neopolycin ophthalmic that should be used in eyes only. Otherwise you should use air filter and cleaner at your home that alleviate chances of Dog's eye allergy.

I have a 12 year old staffy. On his right eye he has a thing like a lump-on the very bottom some times it looks very bad and weeps. I have taken him to the vet with this problem a couple of times. They told me it is an old age thing , Some thing called red eye or some thing to do with third eyelid. I was told they could not cut it out as they would have to remover the tear duck and that would be worse that what he has now. I have cream to put on it , which is a steroid, but it does not do anything . Can you please tell me if there is a natural product I could try on his eye .  Thankyou .

The eyes may be irritated from conjunctivitis, allergies, a corneal ulcer, or dermal issue around the eyes.  Demodex mites often attack the periocular area.  If there are other skin lesions then it is likely this is a dermal issue.  Have your dog examined by a veterinarian to rule out treatable disease and discuss symptomatic therapy.
