My son's puppy became very sick two months ago when he was 7 months old. His entire nose was covered with liquid-filled blisters that reminded me of poison ivy blisters. His eyes had a thick coating all around the edges of them, and he acted like he was having trouble seeing. He would not eat or drink. He was in terrible pain. We took him to the vet. The vet put a cone around his neck, put him on anti-bio tics, steroids and benadryl. He was in horrific shape for a week, and had to wear the cone for two weeks to keep from further irritating the places on his nose that obviously itched him to death. He is fine now. The vet said he had puppy shingles which is an overactive immune response.
